- Providing support and guidance to schools, teachers, and families to improve outcomes for children with additional learning needs.
- Designing specialist intervention plans individual (or group) for children and young people.
- Assessing, collaboratively planning, supporting, and monitoring the implementation of plans.
- Facilitating access to wider services and support, in response to individual need, for example speech and language therapy and local agencies.
- Effective interventions as part of a transdisciplinary team.
- Travel across our region, Nelson Marlborough West Coast, will be required.

- A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act.
- A current full driver's licence as travel is a requirement of this role.
- Knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
- Knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
