- Previous experience engaging with Māori tangata whai I te ora
- Sound understanding of Māori models of health and wellbeing
- Experience working in a community setting
- Full registration with a health, social or counselling related professional body
- Full drivers licence
- Legal right to work in NZ
- Ability to implement Te Tiriti O Waitangi in your daily work
- Knowledge of tikanga and Te Ao Māori and willingness to upskill
- Clinical experience in a kaupapa Māori organisation and/or mental health/addiction/child health or maternity setting
- Experience working with health and social service providers such as Family Start, Oranga Tamariki, Kainga Ora as well as other agencies and non-governmental organisations.
- Working for a regional service in the country’s largest Te Whatu Ora district which provides more opportunity for professional development and career progression
- 10 days sick leave and 4 weeks annual leave
